Moody Foodie

Some say we crave certain tastes for certain emotions. And almost always we crave something we are told we can’t have. Do you? When do you crave crunchy foods, sour, salty, spicy or sweet?? Me, when I am craving I want to eat most anything except foods that are good for me.

The trick is to have only good for you foods in the house. Unless you are the determined sort that will get in your car and drive 20 miles, that is what you are stuck with; unless you lived where my friend Betty lived.

When Betty was a child, her mom would send her to the local store, right around the corner. Betty took a bowl and 25 cents. The store owner put five scoops of ice cream in the bowl. Betty gave him the 25 cents and then she ran like crazy to get the ice cream home to the family.

Now that is portion control at its finest.

This one is better because it is all yours:

Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. (Psalm 16:5, NIV)

Prayer – Thank you God that what ever we need, you provide it for us… AMEN
