Have you ever noticed how often that phrase, more and more shows up in scripture? Hudson Taylor trusted the more and more of verses like this.
We beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. (1 Thessalonians 4:1, KJV)
We beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more. (1 Thessalonians 4:10b, KJV)
I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. (Philippians 1:9, KJV)
Because Taylor believed in the total word of God, and the more and more of God, he was able to say and mean this.
“Depend upon it. God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supplies,”
Have you learned that lesson yet? It starts with the believing in God and what God says.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19, KJV)
Prayer- God, give us the grace to know and believe you the way you intended us to do. Amen.
