Mothers Day

Did she make you do your homework, finish your projects, make your bed and clean your room? Did she make you eat your veggies; try a new food at least once? Tithe your allowance? What about curfews, checking out a boyfriend, denying you privileges? Praise the Lord.

Did your Mom (and/or Dad) practice tough love?  The phrase tough love means that she/he might have treated you sternly with the goal of helping you become a better person.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6, KJV)

This is a great time to say thank you.

Honour thy father and thy mother. (Exodus 20:12, KJV)

Prayer – Thanks God for giving us parents who cared enough to train us up into decent human beings. Amen
