Notes to Self

When everything seems overwhelming, remember to take life one thought, one task and one day at a time.

Life is not perfect. That includes family, spouses and co-workers. What I do have is a perfect God who willingly leads me through my imperfect with complete strength, enduring love and wisdom immeasurable.

Almost everything works if you unplug it for a few minutes. That means me too.

God will never give up on me, because he created me, he loves me, he forgives me, he is faithful to me and he never changes. Thank God!

The stuff of life that I struggle to buy is the stuff that no one wants when I pass.

I learn from my past, but I do not live there.

Live life fully because the ground we walk on today could be our roof tomorrow.

The woman I was yesterday, helped me become the woman I am today and I pray that helps me become a better woman tomorrow.

Advice from my speaker’s bureau: If you can tell your story without crying, it is a good sign that you are healed.

And finally, just for fun. Do not sit on the floor unless you have a plan on how to get back up.

Jesus said, “The first in importance is, ‘Listen, Israel: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.’ And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ (Mark 12:30-31)
