In 2012, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movies series. Queen Elizabeth enjoyed her diamond jubilee.
Rather less known is the fact that 100 Huntley Street, a Canadian television ministry, celebrated its 50th. While the other anniversaries are significant in their own way, fifty years of the Gospel will leave a bigger mark on the world in the long run.
You might have missed the other parties but you can still catch this one! 2013 marks the 75th anniversary of Stonecroft Ministries. 75 years ago, Mrs. Helen Duff Baugh started Stonecroft Ministries—so that women might hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Like 100 Huntley Street, Stonecroft continues to leave an eternal mark on the world for Christ. Thousands of women volunteer their time so that other women might come to know Jesus. If you haven’t connected with them yet, look for Christian Women’s Clubs, Christian Business & Professional Women after 5, Women's Connection, Mom's on the Run, Couples Club, Friendship Bible Coffee, Prayer Connection, Stonecroft Today or Village Missions. You won’t be sorry.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations. (Matthew 24:14a, KJV)
Prayer: Thank you Lord, for people who willingly share the Christ is so many imaginative ways. Amen.
