Our local library printed our new membership cards with slogans like “One small card for mankind,” and “The geek shall inherit the earth.” Obviously they wanted to get our attention and they did.
While the phrases are catchy, they aren’t particularly true. The geek will not inherit the earth, no matter how hard they try. (Matthew 5:5, AMP)
Meekness is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23, KJV)
The ‘meeker’ we are, the more like Jesus we become.
Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. (Matthew 11:29, AMP)
Prayer- Father, may your meekness become us so that others see Jesus. Amen
