Pocket Hugs

This year a friend gifted me a tiny fabric heart with this poem attached.
Here’s a little pocket hug.
Keep it close, all warm and snug.
So even though I can’t be there;
You will look at this and know I care.
I made some and then passed them on to my grandchildren. It never hurts to show others you
care.
We can show care by:
-Giving thank you notes or phrases
-baking a bit of something and sharing.
-deliver a bowl of soup to another
-babysitting for a few hours
-digging out the snow around a neighbor’s car

  • trimming a lawn
    -weeding a flower bed
-giving an invitation to a meal
  • giving a pocket hug
    -and a million other ways
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce
thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints
but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11–12)
