Popcorn Thanksgiving

I expect you are up to your eyeballs in thawing turkey, glazed hams and potato peelings. I guess you know that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, right?

Did you also know that at one point the first pilgrims were rationed to five grains of corn each?

Later it became tradition to place five corn kernels on every plate. Each person would speak of five things for which they were grateful.

Corn kernels are hard to find but unpopped popcorn kernels will do.

Oh and by the way, today is also Tie One On Day (See my November 3 post) Wrap a loaf of bread or some such item in an apron, add a little note and take it to someone who needs cheering up.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Ephesians 5:20, KJV)

Prayer – Father, may the peace of God rule in our hearts, and may we be especially thankful. Amen (From Colossians 3:15, KJV)
