Do you remember the story about the grasshopper and the ant? The busy little ant spent the summer storing up food while the grasshopper played in the sun. Come wintertime, that grasshopper was begging the ant for food.
Has winter snuck up on you? Are your snow tires on the car or languishing in the garage? Do you have your snow shovel prepared and leaning against the front door? What about the snow brush? Last winter, an ice storm caught me by surprise and my snow brush was useless, for it was frozen into the trunk of my car. This year, I am keeping it by the front door.
Hindsight is always better than foresight, isn’t it? If it wasn’t for hindsight we’d never learn anything at all.
It’s never too early to be on time.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. (Ecclesiastes 3:1a, NIV)
Prayer – Lord, help us be more ant than grasshopper. Thanks. Amen
