Purging Season

Is your kitchen full of chipped mugs, warped baking pans and blackened cookie sheets?

Chipped mugs are actually dangerous and warped pans make for uneven or burnt baking. As my Gramps would say: “They were rode hard and put away wet!”

All stuff loses its usefulness. Their broken parts make them worthless. Funnily enough, God likes broken bits. He takes ours with all our broken bits, our rough edges and our burnt bits and causes his light to shine through us to others.

We possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. (1 Corinthians 4:7, AMP)
