A new app available for Apple’s popular iPhone and iPod Touch devices will allow the owner to display their commitment to steer clear of sex before marriage. A purity ring app has been developed by Island Wall Entertainment. Device owners who download the app electronically sign a purity pledge. Pledges are available for young men and women. It is not intended to replace the wearing of a purity ring or to replace existing pledges, the company said. Island Wall director Henry E. Bennett said, “This is an exciting opportunity to reach a whole new generation of people, on a platform that has never been used to spread this important message.” The cost of downloading the app is $0.99.
