Rock On

Did you know that the Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of Custer County, South Dakota will eventually take up the entire side of the mountain?

The sculpture's final size is planned to be 641 feet wide and 563 feet high. The head alone will be 87 feet high. That is 27 feet higher than the heads of the four U.S. Presidents at Mount Rushmore. The work has been in progress since 1948 and is still far from finished.

God is an expert at designing rocks. After all, He is one!

Psalm 78:35- They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer (NIV).

And we can turn to that Rock at any time.

Psalm 71:2-3-In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress (NIV).

Prayer: Father God, some days, life is hard but you are our Rock, ever more resilient than anything that comes against us. Don’t ever let us forget that! Amen.
