Searching for Electrical Power

No electricity at 5:00 a.m. this morning and therefore no coffee to drink. Panic! So, I bravely went forth to find both. Total darkness meant no traffic lights, no street lights, and no coffee!
I travelled about 10 miles before I found a place that had both, and I sure took advantage of that.

Do you take advantage of God’s power? How far would you go to get it? It is available to every believer.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (Romans 1:16 , NIV)

With great power, the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all. (Acts 4:33, NIV)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13, NIV)

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7, NIV)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (Ephesians 6:10, NIV)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3, NIV)

Prayer – Father, thank you for giving us power through the Holy Spirit; power that enables us to be like Christ. Amen
