Self-Criticism

How would your life change if you saw yourself as God sees you? What if you left the entire negative nay-saying behind?

What if you stopped saying:
-I am such a loser.
-I never get anything right.
-I hate my body.
-I am too fat; too thin; too….

That is not how God sees us. He sees us through the eyes of his Son, Jesus Christ. He thinks these kinds of things about you.

Hallelujah! God delights in his people, festoons plain folk with salvation garlands! (Psalm 149:4, MSG)

Paul repeatedly uses the term ‘dearly beloved’ when speaking to the saved. (Romans 12:19)

Even when those ‘beloved’ need correction, Paul still called them beloved (1 Corinthians 4:14)

God calls his Son “my beloved.” If you love Christ, you are included in that love! (Luke 9:35)

Daniel is called greatly beloved. So too are you. (Daniel 9:23)

So dearly beloved, how do you think or speak about yourself now, pray tell? What thoughts delight your mind when you know and believe the word of God spoken on your behalf?

Prayer- Father God, we pray these words on behalf of your beloved in Christ. Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. (Philippians 4:1, KJV) Amen.
