Surprisingly, we don’t want to hear all about you day in and day out. I presume you have the same thoughts about me.
When we spend all our time talking about ourselves, the rest of the world gets bored silly. Conversation is a two way street, not a one way boulevard of you (or me for that matter)
Neither you nor I are better than the other guy. Let’s get over our conceit, our condescending attitudes and follow God’s guidelines by loving one another.
Stop living as though you are the most important person in the world. I hate to break it to you, but you are not and the same applies to me! So there!
Stop expecting your own way, stop hogging all the conversation, stop lording it over us because you think you are a better Christian than we are. Stop it, you hear!
My brethren, pay no servile regard to people [show no prejudice, no partiality]. Do not [attempt to] hold and practice the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ [the Lord] of glory [together with snobbery]! (James 2:1, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, when we brag on ourselves and disregard others, point out our unloving attitude and reform us. Amen.
