Set a Fine Table

First of all, everyone needs their own butter knife which must lie across the bread plate with its handle facing toward the dinner plate. Dessert forks and spoons should be placed above the dinner plate, spoon handle to the right and fork handle to the left.

Don’t forget the water glass which sits at the top of the knife on the right hands side. Put forks to the left of the plate, and knives and spoons to the right.  Oh, and the sharp edge of the knife must face the plate.

Its quite lovely when placed, but annoying to me because I am left-handed. Anyway, I like the Lord’s version of table setting much better.

You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. (Psalm 23:5, MSG)

Prayer – Father God, when we get all caught up in the fancy of the world; remind us what really counts, the Christ. Amen
