If a certain sheep is a problem for you, you can tip it over by first standing beside it, grabbing and turning its head, and putting your knee behind its shoulder. The sheep will lean against your legs…and start to go down. Keep bringing the head around until the sheep is sitting down with its back against your legs.
Why am I telling you this? The Bible calls Christians sheep. We are a problem for Satan and it is to his advantage if we tip over.
First he stands by with tempting thoughts that slowly turn our heads away from God, the father.
He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? (Genesis 3:3b, NIV)
He keeps pushing and turning until we start to fall into a most unnatural position for a sheep; sitting down.
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. (Genesis 3:6, NIV)
Genesis Chapter 3 is titled The Fall for good reason.
Prayer – Lord, help us keep our eyes on you and not be tempted by the Sheep Tipper.
