Sheesecake

No, this is not a spelling error. It only a vocalization of what cheese cake does to us. Bite by bite, slice by slice, it adds wobbly fat cells to our body that look just like the cheese cake we ate.

What would we look like if everything we swallowed did the same? You know, lumps of orange pulp hanging off our necks; stringy sections on our fingers from a steak; or even soft blobby bits around our middle from ice cream? Oh wait–I already have that.

The Bible says that God can full us with all joy and peace. How will we look after that? Why we will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit! (Romans 15:13)

Paul goes on to say that he is convinced that we are full of goodness, and knowledge! (Romans 15:14)

Too much cheesecake and others know what we’ve been eating. And the same thing happens when we spend time with God. We overflow, not with fat, but with many other good things that others recognize.

Prayer – Lord, may your love increase in us so that it overflows for each other and everyone else. Amen (See 1 Thessalonians 3:12)
