Silence

In your solitude, are you silent?

 Can you hear past the noise in your brain? 

Will you practice listening to your heart instead? 

Will your lack of speech and jumbled thoughts give those around you clearer voices?

To my mind, silence brings forgiveness that speaks deeply into my heart in a way that noise can never penetrate.

O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof.

May the Lord silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue.
