Simply Unique

John 3:16For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life. (NASB)

I’ve written lots of cookbooks, but my favorite recipes are the still simplest ones. I like to share them with my friends.

The best peanut butter cookies are made with 1 cup sugar, 1 cup of peanut butter and an egg.

A can of chickpeas, drained, rinsed, and tossed with salsa makes a tasty side dish.

Pour a can of spaghetti sauce over an onion and skinless chicken in the crock-pot for Chicken Cacciatore.

The best things in life are simple, aren’t they?

A baby’s smile, a robin’s call, a spider’s web are all simple, yet unique.

No matter what Bible version I read, there is the same, simple, unique Gospel. Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross to pay the price for our sin. He rose from the dead. He is alive right now, offering us eternal life. All we have to do is ask Him to forgive us and to come into our life. He simply will.

Prayer: Lord, how much easier could it be? You sacrificed your own Son for our sin. Forgive us when we make your truth complicated. Help us share your recipe for Jesus in the same simple way you gave it! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
