Speaking Your Language

Do you understand the things of God? If you haven’t asked Jesus, the Son of the Living God to forgive your sins and come into your heart, you can’t understand the language of his followers.

The truth is that no one can speak butterfly language to caterpillar people. Are you growing in Jesus? Do you read your Bible? Study it? Grow when he shows you how? If you haven’t, you won’t understand the importance of comments like these.

Do the kindnesses of life. Return your shopping cart; pick up trash, even though it is not your own.

Change your attitude, with God’s help. Is it loneliness or freedom if you sit alone with a cup of coffee?

Are you willing to follow where Christ leads you or are you wandering your own path? Hear this bit from Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll.

Alice: “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

The Cheshire Cat: “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”

Alice: “I don’t much care where.”

The Cheshire Cat: “Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go.”

Alice: “…So long as I get somewhere.”

The Cheshire Cat: “Oh, you’re sure to do that, if only you walk long enough.”

Where are you walking, friends? Are you with the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, or are you waling aimlessly through life, and toward death?

God is still writing your story. Stop trying to steal the pen.

For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, NASB)

Prayer- Lord, open the eyes of our hearts, Lord. Amen (From Ephesians 1:18)
