Speedy Gonzales declares himself as the fastest cartoon mouse in “all of Mexico!” Some days I feel just like Speedy. I travel at warp speed from place to place without taking time to enjoy the travel or the obligatory stops between. Totally exhausted at the end of the day, I can’t even remember what I started out to do or even if I did it.
Warp speed (a hypothetical propulsion system from science fiction stories) is warped living. Neither it nor Speedy are real. And our speeding through life (and pushing others to do the same) is not real either.
