Take Heart

I read these verses and I begin to see where I went wrong. My old thought patterns crept up on me and I let them. What was I thinking? Clearly, I was not.

Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life; don’t for a minute lose sight of them. They’ll keep your soul alive and well, they’ll keep you fit and attractive. You’ll travel safely; you’ll neither tire nor trip. You’ll take afternoon naps without a worry; you’ll enjoy a good night’s sleep. No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner, Because God will be right there with you; he’ll keep you safe and sound. (Proverbs 3:21-26, MSG)

To cope, I write my thoughts in my journal over and over again. When I see my truth on paper, for me, as a writer, they become something I can tackle.

And God’s patience abounds to me, even to me and yes, dear listeners to my woe…to you as well.

He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. (Psalm 103:10-11, MSG)

Prayer- Lord, thank you for your patience toward us for we so desperately need it. In Christ’s name. Amen.
