The British have developed a new plant called the TomTato. It grows cherry tomatoes on top and white potatoes under the ground! The plants are grown separately, and then the tomato plants are cut at the stem and grafted into the stem of the potato plant. Gradually, the potato and tomato stems fuse and deliver nutrition from the leaves and water from the roots!
Is one plant better than the other? No. Does one think more highly of itself? Why would they? Both yield great fruit.
Did you know that we are grafted? God grafted us, as believers, into the main stem, the root of his message and our faith
…because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. I am talking to you Gentiles. If the root is holy, so are the branches. Do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. (. Romans 10:11b, 13, 16b, 18)
Prayer- Lord may we always love those who love you, because we are from the same root, the Christ. (From Isaiah 11:1-2) Amen.
