Taking a Chance

Knitting needles are round. Everyone knows that; except the person who invented square ones!

Yes, indeed, square knitting needles are now all the rage. They are much easier to hold and use than the old round ones. Someone took a chance and changed knitting for good.

Even lives change when someone takes a chance.

The eunuch said, “Tell me, who is the prophet talking about: himself or some other?” Philip grabbed his chance. (Acts 8:34, 35, MSG)

After this a lot of his disciples left. They no longer wanted to be associated with him. Then Jesus gave the Twelve their chance: “Do you also want to leave?” (John 6:66,67, MSG)

Prayer- Father God, right now, every time we get the chance, help us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith. Amen. (Galatians 6:10a, MSG)
