Thawed

The ice storm left all but the driver’s door frozen, so they boiled a kettle and poured hot water over the others and even used a hair dryer to thaw them, all without success. He managed to lift the children, one by one over the seat and into their safety belts. Then his wife crawled over the console and gear shift, into her seat. Finally the hubby settled himself for the drive. Only then did they discover that the car opener hadn’t engaged when clicked. Nothing was frozen after all!

Do you ever feel like your relationship with God is frozen, like those car locks? Feelings don’t change the truth. God loves us, he wants fellowship with us. He is waiting for us to ‘push the button’ and engage in relationship with him.

Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]. (Joel 2:12, AMP)

Prayer – Father God, we know you are unchanging, and that means you still love us and care for us and want to have fellowship with us. Thank you, Lord. We do too. Amen
