“Red is a power color,” she said. “I wear red when I have an important meeting, in fact I even have red rimmed glasses to give me an edge.” she said. Studies do show that red really boosts energy! It is definitely a color to live up to.
Have you ever thought about red in a Christian connotation? When we asked Jesus into our lives, we are in a sense wearing red, because we are ‘covered with his blood’ which protects us.
In Exodus 12:21-23, the Israelites placed the blood of a lamb on their door posts so that they would not die. In the same way, Jesus’ death on the cross and our acceptance of him as our Lord and Savior, covers our sins, and gives us eternal life.
Blessed and happy and to be envied are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered up and completely buried. (Romans 4:7, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, thank you for reminding us of Christ’s gift of red. May we wear it proudly, always living up to it, for Christ who shed that red for us. Amen.
