Then “What” Of John?

Remember that at every opportunity, John tells everyone how much Jesus loves him. And now we find that John is also a bit nosy!

But Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following them!!!(John 21:20, MSG) (So, John is a little bit nosy!! and once again boasts of being loved by the Lord!)

Peter takes offense and says, “Lord, what about this man? “Jesus replies “If I want him to live until I come back… what is that to you?”

 Remember that John began with this book like a Columbo TV show. He told us all that Christ was. “In the beginning was the Word (that is Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

Now in this last chapter, he shows all that Christ, the Word, is. Where are you in this Gospel?

1- Jesus calls (the disciples), 

2- Serves them, 

3- Breaks bread with them, a remembrance of communion

4- Meets them where they are, 

5- Offers forgiveness

6- Calls us to nurture one another

7- Tells us to mind our own business  

8- And most of all follow Christ alone,
