This is Wisdom

Do you ever watch those antique shows? People treasure what is often worthless. What they would have thrown away, is often priceless. In Job’s day, gold and glass were of equal value.

Gold and glass cannot equal [Wisdom], nor can it be exchanged for jewels or vessels of fine gold. (Job 28:17, AMP) and even they were worth nothing next to wisdom.

Proverbs 2 says that we should apply all we have to find it. It is better than silver or hidden treasures because it will help us understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of our omniscient God.

It says that the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He actually hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity.

Do you know what wisdom Proverbs is speaking of? It is the Christ and all he stands for.

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2-3, AMP)

Prayer- Lord, we think we know it all, when we actually know nothing, especially if we do not know the Christ as our Saviour. Draw us. Lord, teach us the wisdom that is the Christ. Amen.
