There’s a new Christian movie out, just released on DVD, that probably every teenager and their parents should watch, together. To Save A Life chronicles the lives of a few high school students and follows them as they make choices both good and bad. Several hot topics are touched upon including: rejection, depression, teen suicide, cutting, alcoholism and teen pregnancy. The film relates the message that this life on earth is all about love and relationships, both with God and with one another. Both should be top priority and valued above everything else. Making those personal connections can mean the difference between life and death, both on this earth and for eternity.
In the New Testament, Paul stresses over and over the importance of encouragement and fellowship with one another on a daily basis, to build each other up, to strengthen one another and to grow in relationships of brotherly love with one another as all one members unified in the body of Christ. In today’s world, it’s easy to forget that it’s still all about relationships. The most important relationship is the one with Christ, first and foremost, but secondly we are to be imitators of Christ and therefore should extend that love of Christ one to another. It could possibly, “Save a Life.”
