Trinity Eggs

Eggs need some special food care advice. Their shell is porous and so they absorb other odours and flavours. That’s why they should be stored in their original packaging. Those cute trays on the fridge door are not cold enough, so don’t put them there either.

They have their own protective coating that comes off if you wash them? (Don’t wash them!)

Some have described the Trinity, (which is Father, Son and Holy Spirit) using an egg as the explanation. The yolk represents God, the white is the Holy Spirit and the shell is Jesus.

This is a good visual, but only if not carried to extremes. I mean, we can’t scramble or fry the God head.  Even poached is carrying the example too far. God is not what we make him to be, but just what he is.

God replied to Moses, “I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.”  (Exodus 3:14, NLT)

Prayer – Lord, you take us as we are. We will do the same for you. Amen
