Unintentional

I didn’t mean to, really I didn’t. This is how it played out I had my usual peanut butter and toast for breakfast. Five points worth of food on my weight loss plan. Easy- Peasy.

Then I had lunch out with a friend. Squash Soup and a bun; Easy-Peasy; right? No, it was oh so wrong. How could a vegetable and a dry crust of bread turn into 15 (Yes, you heard me right! 15 points!)

It didn’t look like much in the bowl. I had the small serving size, but when squash soup is made with honey and cream, it tastes really good and it is 10 points plus 5 for a dry crust of bread!

Whew! I never intended it to be so. I was trying so hard to be within my points and I unintentionally blew my plan. I wanted to do one thing and ended up doing another.

Has that ever happened to you; maybe on a much larger scale than mine? Do you know the same truth applies to us both?

If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance? As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshiped. (Psalm 130:3-4, MSG)

Prayer- Well God, we sure thank you for that truth and we thank you for your forgiveness whether our sin was intentional or not. Amen.
