Victorious Living

Repent we cry, but to repent means to be so sorry about a sin that you are willing to give it up! We are all faced with a series of great opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. Pray even harder when you find it hard to pray.

Address your sin squarely and find Bible verses that speak to it. Speak them aloud when tempted.

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. (From Psalm 119:11)

We are never a lost cause in God’s eyes. His grace is free to all and we are part of the all!

Consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (See Romans 6:11)

Concentrate less on the power of sin over you; instead, concentrate on the power of Christ in you! Note that the Lor will not do by a miracle what we are to do by obeying. In John 11:39-44, people had to roll away the stone from Lazarus’ tomb.

Plant and root and fix in me all the mind that was in Thee.

When ‘tis deeply rooted there perfect love shall cast out fear.

When I feel it fixed within, I shall have power over sin. (Charles Wesley)

Are you praying now?
