Have you ever been so scared to do something, that you couldn’t move? Sometimes, it takes a whole lot of faith to take that first step toward something you know you need to do.
God knows this. God is love, therefore, “ Love is patient. Love is kind…” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 13:4
I've said it over and over, God has plans for us. “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord,.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13). He created us with a purpose and one of those purposes is to glorify Him through all that we do.
Is there something you've always wanted to do, but you haven't for whatever reason? Maybe you're scared of failure or rejection. Perhaps it's a lack of time or money to pursue goals and dreams. Yet, “ with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NIV) If it is meant to be, eventually will be and God will provide all your needs. “ And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. “ Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
Sometimes, getting things accomplished is just a matter of us taking the first step. Fear can be a powerful thing. I know what I need to do but I'm afraid to do it. God says do not be afraid. “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished. “ 1 Chronicles 28:20 (NIV)
God knows what we need when we need it and he will always provide. He's our Father, our shepherd and our guide. Take His hand. He'll never let go. Go ahead and step out in faith. You too can walk on the water.
