You guessed it. Because we are on a private well, our water source was endangered during that storm. We suffered through a week of a ‘boil water advisory.’ It’s amazing how much water a person wants to use in a day.
The advisory stated that water must be boiled at least a minute before being used. We were warned not to use the water for drinking, infant formula, preparing juice and ice cubes, washing fruit and veggies, cooking, or dental hygiene. (No doubt ‘dental hygiene’ means all teeth whether washed in one’s mouth or dunked in a glass!) However we were permitted to use that same water for dishes and bath if we promised not to swallow it!
God places no such restrictions on the outpouring of his Holy Spirit.
As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks. (Luke 11:13, CEV)
And because of what Jesus Christ has done, the blessing that was promised to Abraham was taken to the Gentiles. This happened so that by faith we would be given the promised Holy Spirit. (Galatians 3:14, CEV)
Prayer – Thanks God, for giving us your Holy Spirit, with no restrictions but to love you and receive by faith. Amen
