Are you one of those people who sit in an office chair all week and then over exerts on the weekend? That’s a call to injury and likely to angels!
Doesn’t everyone want to see angels? Oh the romance of it, the feeling special of it.
In the worst season of his life; which turned out to be the greatest and most important time of his life, even Jesus needed angels.
His first angel appeared when he prayed desperately in the garden on that fateful night of his capture.
And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit. (Luke 22:43, AMP)
Did you notice that the angel didn’t whisk him away to safety? No, no safety, but courage to pray even deeper.
And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground. (Luke 22:44, AMP)
So when you are out there being a weekend warrior, take comfort in knowing that your own personal weekend warrior angel is out there with you, giving you strength to endure whatever is to come, as you do the Lord’s will. (Psalm 91:10-12, AMP)
Prayer – Father we don’t take angels lightly, but we are grateful that you care enough to keep an eye on us through theirs. Amen
