The world is in chaos. Wars happen here and then there. Hunger pours itself around the country. Money is tight. We overspent on the holidays. The rent check will be late. The children have a fever. We lost our job. Leadership is uncertain.
Feel free to add a few of your own. We don’t know where to turn. What do we do now? We pray. We pray as never before. We pray.
He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”(Mark 9:29, NIV)
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:18, NIV)
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—(1 Timothy 2:1, NIV)
Prayer – Father, give us the right thoughts and mind to pray as you would have us pray. Amen
