Do you ever wonder what you are supposed to do for God? How do you find his path for you? Who should you ask? How can you test what you hear?
Moses asked God what to do and this is what happened.
Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. (Exodus 33:12-13, NIV)
Moses didn’t know how to get to the promised land or who would go with him. Yet, he didn’t ask for that information. Instead, he asked God to teach him Godly ways.
Roll up your sleeves, get your head in the game, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better than you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16, MSG)
