When All Is Lost

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18, KJV)

This was the verse I clung to when I first had cancer. It was kind of a shock to me because I expected a sweet, darling, safe and perfect life as a Christian. Experience taught me other wise.

However I also learned this at the same time.

That same God, who cared enough to die on the cross for our sin, cares enough to take care of us even through our worst times.

Prayer- Thanks Lord that no matter what happens to us our comfort abounds through Christ (From 2 Corinthians 1-2) Amen.
