When Stuff Happens.

Last week my eight-year-old grandson was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. Fear and panic grabbed us. We clung to what we knew to be true. God knows what he is doing. He will get us through this.

Still, no matter what we know from experience, a new thing throws us for a loop. Thankfully God knows that too. As I turned to my reading for the day…John 2…God stopped me in my tracks at the wedding in Cana.

The wine is all gone and Mary, mother of Jesus tells Jesus and in the Amplified version, he says…Leave it to Me. (John 2:4)Mary gives good advice to the servants, advice we would all do well to take.

His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it. (John 2:5, AMP)

And there was more wine, better wine than they started out with.

But the biggest results are found in verse 11.

This first sign manifested his glory and his disciples believed in Him [adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].

We are trusting that this hard blow will do the same for us.

Prayer- Lord when things are hard; we will trust you and hopefully others will believe because we believe. Thanks, God. Amen.
