Shamefully, some “Christ Followers” display their un-surrendered selves in rebellion and rants on distancing, masks and fake news. According to them all the networks, newspapers and world governments are in this together for some foggy purpose yet to be explained.
Oh and let me mention ‘pray and the pray-ers.’
People almost always end their on-line comments with this famous line; I am praying for you!
We are praying…to whom, might I ask. Do you know God personally or are you just mouthing the good word of the day? God is so surprised to hear from you.
Some reach for something higher and say ‘Keep the faith, or keep believing.’ but never identify faith in who or what. Maybe they just mean believe in your self. How is that working for them?
If you don’t really know God personally, do message me. I can and will introduce you…so that your prayers mean something.
Pick your own lie, folks. Stop living it now. We will get out of here eventually and guess what.
Nursing home Granny will expect visits.
We will have to clean the house.
We will return to that job we hated but ‘missed so much’ during shutdowns.
The grandchildren might visit.
Visitors will marvel at our wall unit filled with toilet paper.
Finally, we will have to choose to ignore God or make the decision to really get to know him.
Decide who is the real you, for daylight is coming and so is our accountability to God.
“You know that if the house owner had known what night the burglar was coming, he wouldn’t have stayed out late and left the place unlocked. So don’t you be slovenly and careless. Just when you don’t expect him, the Son of Man will show up.”(Luke 12:39-40, MSG)
Prayer- Lord we are all guilty in one way or another. Show us our shame and give us the courage to change. Amen.
