Wisdom is as Wisdom Does

How wise do you think you are? Could you win at Jeopardy or are you just living your life in jeopardy?

We know the word as a popular game but the word actually means the risk of harm, loss, death, or destruction; the risk of being put on trial for a crime.

We are in heavenly jeopardy when we do not understand biblical wisdom.

Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech:
“How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? Proverbs 1:20-22, NIV)

Wisdom calls us to repent and if we do…then God will give us his thoughts and make his teachings known to us. (From Proverbs 1:23, NIV)

But what if we don’t repent? God continues with these words…
“They will call but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me. They hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. (Proverbs 1:28-31, NIV)

And you say, where do I find this wisdom? Wisdom is The Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3, NIV)

Prayer- Lord, call louder please. Some of us aren’t hearing. Amen.
