Worried

I was in the midst of a bad worry about my finances. Somehow I forgot what I’ve learned over so many years of trusting God to take care of me no matter what. While I was in my pity party mentality, someone left several meals at my front door.

And when I got over the shock of it, I realized what God was telling me.

“Do you seriously think I can’t provide for you in mysterious and wonderful ways, in ways of my choosing and not yours?

I apologized to God for my lack of trust in him. The words of this hymn came to mind.

Trust and obey, for there is no other way…to be happy in Jesus…but to trust and obey! (By Daniel Towner and John Sammis)

And He said to them, [Why are you so fearful?] Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me—in My veracity and My integrity)? ( Luke 8:25a, AMP)

How well do you trust God?

Prayer – When all seems lost, Lord, remind us, remind us, and remind us again, that you are who you said you are and that we can trust you, no matter what. Amen
