You know that is just not the truth. Say what you like about Jesus, you can’t say that he was a worry wart. He does not pace frantically, he is not unsettled, nervous or anxious. He is calm.
Now his followers; that’s a whole other ball game.
They worried about food.(Matthew 14:17, NIV)
They worried about storms.(Matthew 8:23-27)
They worried about travel. (Luke 16:21-22)(Luke 16:21-22)
They worried about Jesus.(Luke 16:21-22)
They worried about position.(Matthew 20:21-24)
They just plain worried.
When we worry, we give way to anxiety, unease; and let our minds dwell on difficulties and troubles. We chew at our problem like a dog worries on a bone.
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.(Matthew 6:34, MSG)
