Cleaning Up

My science teacher used to ask us this question. How do you stop fish from smelling? Answer; cut off their noses.

Maybe that would work better than this recipe for de-smelling your house.

Mix 3 cups of water with 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2-3 teaspoons of rosemary and a good splash of vanilla.

I have no idea if that recipe works or not.

I do know what kind of smell the Lord loves. It’s the sacrifice of sin-free-living. Perhaps we could focus our attention less on what the neighbours think and more on what pleases God.

But thanks to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere; for we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? (2 Corinthians 2:12-16, NIV)

Prayer- Lord, we choose to be a sweet, pleasing smell for you. Thanks for your patience as we use the deodorant of your Holy Word. Amen.
