Antidote for Discouragement

The moment is tough and hard to bear but you have suffered through tough before. You are tough enough for this problem

I can’t control what is happening but I can decide how I will respond to it.

What can I learn from this problem? What is God wanting to teach me in the midst of it?

Decide to take it just one step at a time.

Take a deep breath and do the next right thing. If you don’t know what that is, then keep doing the last thing that God told you to do.

Do you remember the words from that old hymn, ‘Why should I be discouraged?  His eye is on the sparrow! And I know he watches me!’

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NLT)

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT)

But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!” (2 Chronicles 20:17, NLT)
