No one could ever excuse Steve Jobs of pretending to be somebody else. This is his life advice.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs
That is sound for the most part, but too many of us have been led into trouble and have no one to blame but ourselves.
We are out there waving the banner of who we think we are instead of allowing God to first show us what we really are. Once we know that, our banner can clearly wave the cross of Christ and his leadership and knowledge and wisdom.
At the very least, we can keep these principles should be flying.
And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with ]your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment. The second is like it and is this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-32, AMP)
Prayer- Lord when we get too big for our britches, calm our inner selves so Jesus can shine through. Amen.
