When I deliver a message and no one responds to the Gospel, I feel quite let down. My friend sent me this letter in response to my woes.
As for your last paragraph: What I say is that I am the farmer – I plant the seed – God brings the increase. Not everybody shares what is going on in their mind after a meeting – you don’t know this side of heaven.
It may not be salvation, but perhaps someone is suffering silently who takes something of the Saviour home with them. And….you have pleased your heavenly Father by telling those women about Jesus. Just pleasing God is enough.
The Bible says that “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”(Acts 1:8, NIV)
That last place you went to seems like the end of the earth to me. You went forth as his witness, sent out by the Holy Spirit, no matter their response. You did your job. You delivered the message and that is what counts.
Prayer- Dear Lord, thank you for friends who encourage us on our path of obedience. Increase them in numbers Lord so that many others will be encouraged. Amen.
