What flies at Christmas? Well, it might be you, on the way to friends or family for the holidays. Angels and reindeer also come to mind and unfortunately in our house, lemon pudding rings a bell.
Yes I hesitate to say so but lemon pudding has flown across the kitchen in my house more than once. The first time, I took the pudding off of the stove and the dish slipped from my hands onto the floor. The contents made their way around the entire room.
The other time it was a finished lemon pie. Yes perish the thought and it was the only dessert I had ready. Forget the mess of lemon pie filling. You haven’t seen anything till meringue joins the fall.
You might not realize that meringue is a mixture of egg whites and sugar beaten until stiff, and then baked. It sounds impossible but it is true; eggs and sugar mix together to make an entirely different thing.
It’s like salvation really. At first glance it sounds impossible. …Tiny baby sent by God, becomes adult whose death on a cross makes delivery from sin possible for one and all… until you experience it for yourself.
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. (Luke 3:6, KJV)
Prayer- Father God, thank you for your salvation for our sins and redemption on high. Amen.
