And the Lord said to Moses, How long will this people provoke (spurn, despise) me? And how long will it be before they believe me [trusting in, relying on, clinging to me], for all the signs which I have performed among them? (Numbers 14:11, AMP)
It seems that even God despairs of our unbelief. Are you causing him to moan over yours? I hope not. I came to the conclusion long ago that what God said is what God means and our job is to move forward into belief on the topic.
My friend moved several hundred miles north, determined that it was God’s desire for her. Co-workers and friends and even the occasional stranger held what she called interventions to get her to stay in place.
But she believed God had a plan for her life. She moved to the new city, knowing no one there. For many years she served in the hospice unit and comforted many a soul heading for heaven.
Have you heard God speak? Do you squash his voice; pretend you haven’t heard or will you bravely do what He calls you to do?
It is not too late.
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. Genesis 12:1, 4)
